Alejandro Gil is a distinguished director and screenwriter. Born in Havana in 1958, Gil graduated as journailist from the university of Havana where he began his career as an assistant director in 1984.
He quickly moved into writing and directing documentaries, short films and music videos for which he has gained both national and international recognition. He is a member of (UNEAC) the National Union of Artists and Writers as well as (UPEC) the Union of Cuban Journalists. The Ambush is his first feature film.
